Meeting minutes - March 17, 2006 (3:00 EST)

Briana Colley will be resigning from the Board of Directors. Thanks for all your hard work!
It was suggested that the Board position be posted online.

 

The first Radiochemistry Society Journal should be available by April 1, 2006 in honor of Dr. Kuroda's birthday. It was suggested to make this available to members only.

New development on the website has achieved numbers now topping a million hits for all months of 2006 (in excess of 130,000 impressions/month). WorldCor 07 conference is live and marketing should go forward now for companies/individuals to budget. The URL is: http://worldcor.radiochemistry.org

Also, online certifications has come to fruition and available for Data Validation & Fundamentals of Radiochemistry. Certification exams are through our secure infrastructure and available for $250.00. This year we have had 5 students (4 have graduated and 1 ready to take the exam). If anyone is interested in viewing and/or taking the exams, email webmaster@radiochemistry.org and Tim will set you up a login.

Marketing for the Fundamentals of Radiochemistry course scheduled for May 24-26, 2006 in Aiken, S.C. needs to go forward soon. This along with the Radiochemistry Society Journal will be announced in the next upcoming mass mailing (prior to April 1st).

Dr. Sheldon Landsberger from the University of Texas is working with the Radiochemistry Society in producing online courses. He will also be representing the Radiochemistry Society at the upcoming conference in Hawaii.

Next Meeting Date has not been set.
